Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting a Class 2 Driver for our client based in West Drayton - a family run logistics company specialising in the safe delivery and installation of large white goods equipment. Temporary starting position, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Pay: £17.51 to £20.50 per hour PAYE (incl. Holiday Pay).

Working hours: Monday to Friday 05:00 / 06:00am starts daily. Guaranteed 8 hours. Very physical role.

Duties:

  • You will be required to work as part of a two‑man team delivering/installing and collecting a variety of high‑value delicate white goods.
  • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
  • Work well under pressure and to strict time deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK CAT C licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN).
  • CPC and TACHO.
  • At least 1‑year experience as a Class 2 driver or in a similar role is preferred (references required).
  • DBS preferred.
  • Must be over the age of 25 years due to company insurance policies.
  • Physically fit – all deliveries require lifting up to 40kg (two‑man job).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
