Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 HIAB Drivers for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/ Hayes/ Northolt/ Greenford/ West Drayton etc).

PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED.

£20.00 to £23.00 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay) (Depending on experience, overtime, nights, weekends etc). On-going position for the right candidates! Register today and start work within 1 week! Auto-enrolment pension after 3 months!

Type of shifts (depending on Company):

  • Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops)
  • Delivering for builders merchants, scaffolding, Plant equipment deliveries
  • Shifts are mostly during the week, day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)

Requirements of Class 2 HIAB Drivers:

  • Valid UK CAT C licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
  • Valid HIAB certification
  • Valid CPC and TACHO
  • Manual driving licence
  • You must be over the age of 25 years for insurance purposes
  • At least 1 year Class 2 HIAB driving experience (references required)
  • Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
  • Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards

All-round Duties:

  • Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
  • Secure load onto vehicle (strapping)
  • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Rates of pay:

We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day. Overtime is paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid). PAYE between £20.00 and £23.00 per hour (rates differ for experience, nights, weekends, bank/public holidays and overtime).
