Driver Hire Uxbridge are now recruiting for HGV Cat C (Class 2) HIAB Drivers on behalf of our client, one of the UK's fastest growing builder’s merchants based in Hayes. £20.50 to £24.50 per hour (PAYE, including holiday pay). Rates vary depending on experience, and overtime.
Monday to Friday 05:30am starts daily.
Duties of a HIAB Driver:
- You will carry out multidrop deliveries to commercial customers and building sites.
- Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Secure loads correctly using appropriate methods (e.g. strapping).
- Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, fluid levels, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Comply with all road safety and driving regulations.
- Adhere to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence held for at least 2 years (maximum 6 penalty points; no DR, DD, TT, IN, or MS90 endorsements).
- Valid HIAB certification.
- Valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
- Minimum age of 25 (insurance requirements).
- At least 1 year of Class 2 HIAB driving experience (references required).
- Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved).
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
