Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/ Hayes/ Northolt/ Greenford/ West Drayton etc) £19.00 to £22.00 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay) Requirements of Class 1 Drivers: * Valid manual UK driving licence (CAT C+E) for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements) * Valid CPC and TACHO * You must be over the age of 25 years – for insurance purposes * At least 1 year HGV Class 1 driving experience (references required) * Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months * Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting * Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members * Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards Type of shifts (depending on Company): * A to B drops in and around M25, multi-drop (up to 3 drops) * Movies/TV and Events * Builders merchants and Scaffolding * Insulation & Dry Lining * Shifts are mainly during the week - Monday to Friday (occasional weekends) All-round Duties for Class 1 Drivers: * Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues * Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Rates of pay: * We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day * Overtime is paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid) * PAYE between £19.00 and £22.00 per hour (rates differ for experience, nights, weekends, bank/public holidays and overtime) For the right candidates we are willing to up-skill you (HIAB certificate) Do you have the drive and experience?
