Driver Hire Carlisle are looking for experienced Skid Steer Operators to work on a busy construction site in the Carlisle area. This role involves operating plant machinery safely and efficiently as part of a professional site team. We’re recruiting two operators to support ongoing groundworks and site operations. The position offers a 6–8 week contract with the possibility of extension based on successful project delivery.
Key Duties:
- Operate skid steer machinery (Bobcat or similar) on active construction sites
- Work alongside site managers and other plant operators
- Carry out pre-start checks and follow site safety procedures
- Assist with general plant and groundworks operations when required
- Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Skid Steer Operator ticket
- Proven experience working on construction, civil engineering, or groundwork projects
- Full PPE and a strong commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude
