Overview
Our client, a well-established and busy engineering workshop in Newton Abbot, is expanding! With a strong order book and a busy period ahead, we are looking for skilled Welder/Fabricators to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Location: Newton Abbot, Devon
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Day Shift (07:00 – 15:30)
Salary: £15.50 – £16.25 per hour + Overtime (Time and a Third)
Expected Hours: 40 per week
What You7ll Be Doing
- MIG/MAG welding of heavy structural steel and plate work
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Working independently and to a high standard of precision and safety
- Assisting with fabrication projects from start to finish
- Maintaining a clean and efficient work area
What We7re Looking For
- Proven experience in MIG/MAG welding
- Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
- Strong background in heavy steel fabrication
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Welding coding certificates are an advantage-training and certification are available for the right candidates.
