Weekend Van Drivers required for ongoing ad hoc work based in Newton Abbot, South Devon. This role is ideal for experienced Category B drivers looking for weekend work, additional income, or flexible driving shifts. You will be completing deliveries across South Devon while providing excellent customer service and maintaining high professional standards. Note: This is not parcel delivery work.

Location: Newton Abbot, South Devon. Accessible from Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, Exeter, Plymouth, and surrounding areas.

Salary: £15.13 per hour PAYE. Other PAYE models are available. Weekly pay every Friday. Ad hoc weekend work. Guaranteed 8 hours' pay. Typical shifts of 8 to 10 hours. Early morning starts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 3.5 tonne Category B delivery van safely and professionally.
  • Complete deliveries throughout South Devon.
  • Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
  • Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Follow transport legislation and health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate any delays or delivery issues promptly.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing the business.
  • Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Full UK Category B driving licence.
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Driver, or Category B Driver.
  • Good knowledge of safe driving practices.
  • Strong reliability and time management skills.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of South Devon delivery routes.
  • Previous logistics or distribution experience.

Please note that previous van driving experience is required, as there is limited training available on site.
