We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Compliance Manager to oversee compliance, safety, and regulatory standards within a busy transport operation. Reporting to senior management, you will provide independent oversight of Operator Licence compliance, driver regulations, fleet standards, and transport governance. The role focuses on ensuring legal obligations are met, maintaining audit‑ready records, identifying compliance risks, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation. This role is a 6‑month fixed term contract, 40 hours per week, working Sunday to Thursday. Salary is negotiable with the details confirmed as part of shortlisting. Immediate start required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations, driver hours, tachograph rules, and Working Time Directive legislation.
  • Monitor compliance performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and audit‑ready transport, vehicle, and driver records.
  • Oversee fleet compliance, including maintenance schedules and roadworthiness requirements.
  • Support regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Produce compliance reports and provide practical recommendations to improve controls and operational performance.
  • Work closely with transport and operational teams to promote a strong compliance culture.

Requirements

  • Current Transport Manager CPC qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting DVSA audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Previous experience within a transport, logistics, or fleet compliance environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse compliance data and communicate requirements clearly to operational teams.
