We are recruiting multiple Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a dedicated waste and recycling team based in Kingsbridge, South Devon. The job involves physically active work collecting domestic waste from residential properties. This position offers a great opportunity for drivers seeking consistent work with potential for permanent employment.
Location
Kingsbridge, Devon (commutable from South Brent, Totnes, Paignton, Plymouth, and surrounding areas)
Salary
£17.37 to £26.06 per hour (PAYE/Advanced), with other pay methods also available
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle safely on residential collection routes
- Assist in loading and unloading refuse and recycling materials
- Communicate with the depot team for daily route updates
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all health and safety protocols
Qualifications
Essential:
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
- Full CPC and digital tachograph cards
- No more than 6 points on licence (strictly no DR, DD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit to lift and carry bins and recycling containers
- Own transport to reach the depot
- A mobile phone for route and schedule updates
Desirable:
- Previous experience in refuse collection or multi-drop driving
- Good local knowledge of South Devon area
