We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand Operative to join our client in the Newton Abbot area. This is a physically demanding role suited to individuals who are comfortable with manual handling and working in an outdoor yard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- General yard duties including organising materials and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Loading and unloading goods
- Manual handling and heavy lifting on a daily basis
- Operating a counterbalance forklift (approximately 2 hours per day)
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
Requirements:
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ready to start immediately
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, 42.5 hours per week
Salary & Benefits:
- £29,009.70 per annum
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days with service
- Bupa healthcare cover (including support for prescriptions, optical care, etc.)
- Two company social events per year
- Full uniform provided
