Key Responsibilities
- Drive Class 1 articulated vehicles with refrigerated trailers.
- Complete deliveries and collections across the UK.
- Occasionally travel into France as required.
- Carry out daily vehicle defect checks and report any issues.
- Follow transport plans and instructions from the operations team.
- Ensure compliance with EU Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and within required timescales.
- Monitor and record trailer temperatures where required.
- Keep vehicles and trailers clean and presentable.
- Assist with loading and unloading using pallet trucks and other equipment when required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Work flexibly to support operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Essential
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
- No more than 6 penalty points.
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and transport legislation.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Excellent communication skills.
