Sedgefield – £13.00 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience) – Monday to Friday – 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00 – Temporary role (minimum 4 weeks work).

Driver Hire Teesside are currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator / Administrator to support a busy and growing transport operation. This is a great opportunity to join a team within a regulated and specialist logistics environment, assisting with the day-to-day running of the transport function.

The Role:

  • Assisting with daily transport planning and scheduling
  • Supporting driver communication and coordination
  • Monitoring compliance records (including tachograph data)
  • General administrative support within the transport office
  • Supporting the Transport Manager with day-to-day operations

You will be working closely with the Transport Manager as part of a small and growing team.

The Operation:

  • Current fleet of 7 HGV vehicles
  • Ongoing growth following recent contract wins

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in transport, logistics or administration preferred, but not essential
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
  • Confident using computers and basic systems

This role would suit someone looking to gain experience within transport and logistics, or someone with admin experience looking to step into a new environment. Full training will be provided.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00‐17:00 or 09:00‐18:00
  • Occasional Saturday cover (on‐call by phone only)
