As part of our growing team, you'll be responsible for driving business growth across the TS postcode area, focusing on temporary staffing solutions in the logistics, driving, and industrial sectors. You'll work with fantastic organisations, finding the best talent across the North-East to help them meet their business needs.
As a Business Development Executive you will:
- Business Development: Connect with new clients and identify fresh opportunities in the transport and logistics sector. Negotiate rates and finalise terms.
- Client Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with decision-makers across logistics, transport, warehousing, and supply chain industries.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed your sales and placement goals, contributing to the growth and success of the business.
- Temporary Staffing Solutions: Partner with the recruitment team to place quality candidates (drivers, forklift operators, warehouse staff, logistics coordinators) in roles quickly and effectively.
- Utilise Job Boards & CV Search Systems: Leverage job boards and CV search systems to source and identify suitable candidates that meet client needs and requirements.
- Market Insights: Use social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok) and in-house systems to stay updated on industry trends and offer clients valuable insights.
- Compliance & Onboarding: Ensure all workers meet legal requirements and certifications, managing a smooth onboarding process.
Business Development Executives must:
- Industry Knowledge: Previous recruitment experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain is a plus but not essential.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or recruitment. Passion for building client relationships.
- Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Target-Oriented: Self-motivated and goal-driven with the ability to smash targets and KPIs.
- Organised & Proactive: Ability to juggle multiple accounts and candidate pipelines while staying on track.

- On-Call Responsibility: Shared on-call duties, rotating. Full support is provided to manage out-of-hours client or candidate needs confidentially.

The successful Business Development Executive can expect:
- Competitive basic salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE), plus uncapped bonus.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (office-based 40-hour working week - there will also be some travelling involved and occasional remote working when agreed).
