Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to work for our client based in Hyde. This will be an ongoing contract working Monday to Friday with 6-7am starts. There is also a potential of a full-time position to be offered on this role. Please note that depending on the workload, you may be required to help the loaders on some routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
- Working alongside loaders to complete daily routes
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all collections are completed in line with schedules
- Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in refuse or similar driving work preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual
Hours & Pay
- 6am-7am starts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends may be required & Bank holidays)
- Pay Rates: £17.20ph - This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate; if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £15.35ph
