Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for Part-Time HGV Drivers; Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) to join our agency and work for a variety of our clients around the SK Postcode.

As the busy season is fast approaching, we are looking to add experienced HGV Drivers to our team to support our busy client base.

We have work available Monday through to Friday, and the ideal candidate will be looking for 2-3 days work a week (in peak times we should be able to offer more days) and they will be flexible with the days and hours you can work but we can also work around your availability.

The start times vary depending on the client but usually between 5am-8am starts.

We have been operating for 40 years and pride ourselves in quality service.

We have various roles such as haulage, flatbed work, day and night work with over 40 customers supplied weekly.

Responsibilities Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly and safely while obeying all traffic laws.

Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.

Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.

Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.

Qualifications Full UK Driving licence.

Cat C Licence (Category C - HGV Class 2 Driver) OR CE Licence (HGV Class 1).

Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.

No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's endorsements.

Preferred 6 months relevant driving experience.

Able to work to tight deadlines.

Pay Rates Class 1 Rates: £17.93 – Minimum 8 hours paid. £23.53 – Paid after 8 hours.

This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate; if you wish to accrue these separately then the hourly rate for a Class 1 would become £16h and £21ph overtime.

Class 2 Rates: £16.81 – Minimum 8 hours paid. £22.06 – Paid after 8 hours.

This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate; if you wish to accrue these separately then the hourly rate for a Class 2 would become £15h and £19.68ph overtime.
