Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) and HGV Class 2 (C) drivers to work for a variety of our clients across theSK postcode.
We have work available Monday- Friday so whether you\’re looking for full-time or part-time hours, we have the flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
What we can offer:
- Flexible shifts – start times typically between 5:00am and 8:00am
- Varied assignments including: General Haulage, Flatbed work, Day and Night shifts
- Work with over 40 local customers each week
- We are happy to accommodate drivers looking for ad-hoc, part-time, or full-time.

Duties of this HGV Driver includes:
- Driving HGV Class 2 or HGV Class 1 vehicle responsibly, obeying all traffic laws
- Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
- Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
- Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
Our HGV Driver must have:
- A Full UK driving licence
- Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2 Driver) or Cat CE Licence (HGV Class 1 Driver)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No DD\’s, DR\’s, IN\’s, TT\’s
- 6 months relevant driving experience (preferred)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Pay Rates:
PAID WEEKLY VIA PAYE
HGV Class 1:
£17.59ph – Minimum 8 hours paid
£23.53ph – Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £15.70ph and £21ph overtime.
HGV Class 2:
£16.47ph – Minimum 8 hours paid
£22.05ph – Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £14.70ph and £19.68ph overtime.
