Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join an established agricultural supplies business in Stockbridge.

The Role

The role will initially focus on picking customer orders, with a new computer system being introduced later in the year, which you will be trained to use.

  • £28,000-£30,000 per year
  • £50 weekly KPI bonus
  • GBS bonus based on length of service and daily rate

Duties will include:

  • Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing orders for dispatch
  • Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
  • Checking stock and ensuring orders are correct
  • Loading vehicles for delivery
  • General warehouse duties
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Working as part of the team to meet daily requirements
  • Learning and using the company's new warehouse computer system when it is introduced later in the year
  • Carrying out relevant computer/system input as required
  • Supporting the wider warehouse operation when required
  • Carrying out customer deliveries when required
  • Providing holiday cover for drivers during the quieter periods of January-March and October-December

A full UK driving licence is essential, as driving and delivery work will form part of the role.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Reliable, hardworking and organised
  • Good attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be over 25 due to insurance requirements
  • Counterbalance, Reach Truck or Order Picker licences are preferred but not essential
  • Training for these licences will be provided to the right candidate once permanent
