We are currently seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient delivery and collection of products to a diverse customer base, while also providing exceptional pre- and post-sale support to ensure customers fully maximise the value and efficiency of the products.
A key aspect of the role is using your engaging personality to inspire and excite both customers and colleagues, showcasing the latest products, technology, and innovations.
About this position:
- Monday to Friday (40-hour week)
- Start times would vary depending on jobs that are scheduled
- Update job progress using the company's internal system via tablet to ensure real-time tracking and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Product Genius team to coordinate logistics and provide precise delivery schedules for product demonstrations and training sessions.
- Monitor deliveries, proactively managing any delays or issues in transit, and communicate updates to relevant teams as necessary.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections to confirm equipment is in proper condition and complete prior to dispatch.
- Oversee loading and unloading procedures, ensuring all equipment is securely fastened and adequately protected to prevent damage during transport.
What we require from you for this role:
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months
- Willingness to travel long distances
- Previous experience in delivery or logistics focused role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills as you will be dealing with customers face to face
- Ensure all documentation and records are complete and up-to-date.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items due to the nature of the role
- IT and computer literate
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Flexible to work early mornings, late shifts or extended hours if needed
