Driver Hire is recruiting on behalf of a growing drinks and beverage manufacturing company for an experienced Machine Operator to join their production team. This is a full-time position within a modern manufacturing facility producing and packaging high-quality beverage products.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Start times between 4:00 am and 10:00 am, depending on production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor form-fill-seal (FFS) machines, multihead weighers, conveyors, sealing equipment, and associated production machinery.
- Perform machine setup, calibration, product changeovers, cleaning, and safe shutdown procedures.
- Carry out quality checks, complete batch records accurately, operate metal detection equipment, and ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common machine issues, including product jams, sealing faults, temperature variations, and product flow problems.
- Maintain production efficiency while meeting daily output and quality targets.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures.
- Support cross-training initiatives and assist with general factory and production tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a food, drinks, or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of HACCP, BRCGS standards, food hygiene, and allergen control.
- Ability to work independently after completing training.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintaining production efficiency.
