Here at Driver Hire Southampton we are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Night Drivers to work on behalf of our clients specialising in general haulage deliveries.
About this Class 1 Night role:
- AD HOC ongoing work varied between Monday to Friday
- Start times vary between 6:00pm and 8:00pm (10-12-hour shifts)
- Deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage goods
- Driving a Class 1 curtain sider (sometimes may be on a double decker)
- One delivery to main hub in the midlands
- Pallets are forklifted off the vehicle
Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver:
- Full UK Class 1 licence
- Valid CPC and Digi card
- Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Great communication skills
- Strapping experience
- Experience with curtain sider trailers/ general haulage deliveries
- Own transport to commute to and from work
- Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
- Complete daily vehicle checks
- Comply with the company\’s health and safety procedures
- Record Tacho hours correctly
