Class 1 Drivers Wanted - Join a Leading Haulage Team
Location: Southampton | Work Type: Ad Hoc (Mon-Fri) | Pay: Weekly (PAYE / PAYE Advanced)
Driver Hire Southampton is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support one of our top clients, specialising in general haulage deliveries across the South Coast.
Role Overview
- Drive a Class 1 curtain sider delivering palletised goods
- Complete local deliveries and collections across the South Coast
- Work 10-12 hour days, with start times between 5:00am-7:00am
- No manual handling - pallets are loaded/unloaded by forklift
- Follow planned routes, complete paperwork, and stay in regular contact with the Transport Office
Requirements
- Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
- Minimum of 1 year recent Class 1 driving experience
- Confident operating curtain siders, strapping loads, and handling general haulage
- Excellent communication, timekeeping, and professional attitude
- Own transport to reach the site
- Ability to carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate Tacho records
