Are you an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for AD-HOC work to build your week up? Here at Driver Hire Sheffield we are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 Driver for AD-HOC work with one of our clients. You will need experience with driving Class 1 & 2 Vehicles and ideally have experience with working on curtain-siders, tippers, Ro/Ro (roll-on roll-off), and skips. Work will vary depending on the clients requirements, so adaptability and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- You may be asked to operate a Class 2 Vehicle during your shift.
- Scrap Metal Collections
- Working with curtain-siders, tipper vehicles, Ro/Ro, and skip lorries
- Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Adhering to all driving laws, tachograph regulations, and health & safety procedures
- Following routes efficiently
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience with: Curtain-sider work, Tipper operations, Ro/Ro (roll-on roll-off) systems, Skip work
- Good knowledge of driver hours and regulations
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different job types
