Join an established, leading independent UK distributor as an HGV Class 2 Driver. You'll be the face of the business, providing a professional frontline service to customers while ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport goods and deliveries safely and efficiently to customer locations.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries, including routes into London.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Use your knowledge of the local area to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
- No loading or unloading required - driving duties only.
Working Hours:
- Sunday to Friday (Saturday fixed day off)
- Evening/Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM
- Immediate Start Available
Pay Rates (Including Holiday Pay):
- Sunday/Bank Holiday Night: £23.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday Night Shifts: £20.00 per hour
- Guaranteed 8 hours' pay per shift.
Requirements:
- Current and valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Minimum of 2 years holding an HGV licence and 12-24 months' commercial Class 2 driving experience in the UK.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of London and the local region.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Own transport to travel to and from the Dagenham depot.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe driving practices.
