Driver Hire Romford are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Multi-Drop Drivers on behalf of a reputable Builder's Merchant based near Dagenham. You'll be joining an established, leading independent UK distributor, acting as the face of the business and providing a professional, customer-focused front-line service. You'll ensure that all goods are transported and delivered safely and on time while upholding high company standards.

Job Specification

  • Transport goods and materials to customer destinations safely and efficiently
  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries, including deliveries into London
  • Collect products from suppliers and prepare customer orders prior to dispatch
  • Load and secure goods safely on vehicles
  • Complete all relevant paperwork accurately
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues across departments
  • Use your knowledge of the local area to plan routes effectively
  • Maintain high health & safety standards at all times

What You Need

  • A current and valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) Driving Licence
  • Clean UK driving record - maximum of 6 penalty points
  • Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tacho Card
  • Minimum 2 years of holding an HGV licence and 9-12 months of commercial Class 2 driving experience in the UK
  • Strong knowledge of the local region
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A motivated, professional, and reliable approach to work
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Own transport to get to and from the workplace
  • High level of physical fitness - manual handling and lifting required
  • Must be punctual and dependable
