You'll be joining an established, leading independent UK distributor, acting as the face of the business and providing a professional, customer-focused front-line service. You'll ensure that all goods are transported and delivered safely and on time while upholding high company standards.
Job Specification
- Transport goods and materials to customer destinations safely and efficiently
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries, including deliveries into London
- Collect products from suppliers and prepare customer orders prior to dispatch
- Load and secure goods safely on vehicles
- Build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues across departments
- Use your knowledge of the local area to plan routes effectively
- Maintain high health & safety standards at all times
What You Need
- A current and valid UK HGV Driving Licence
- Clean UK driving record - maximum of 6 penalty points
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tacho Card
- Minimum 2 years of holding an HGV licence and 9-12 months of commercial 7.5T or Class 2 driving experience in the UK
- Strong knowledge of the local region
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A motivated, professional, and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Own transport to get to and from the workplace
- High level of physical fitness - manual handling and lifting required
- Must be punctual and dependable
