Position Overview
HGV Drivers Class 1 – Day Shift
Hourly rate: £16.80 to £21.00 per hour with Monday‑Friday PAYE advance and weekend enhancements. Weekly pay is guaranteed and paid on time. An 8‑hour minimum shift is guaranteed each day. Start times: 6‑7 am daily. Location: Walton Summit, Bamber Bridge. Commute is available from Blackpool, Fleetwood, Garstang, Southport, Chorley, Leyland and surrounding areas.
Core Responsibilities
- Trunking between depots, including pick‑ups and collections, and delivering goods to commercial warehouses.
- Perform daily walk‑rounds and vehicle checks, and report any damage or defects.
- Use Tachograph correctly and comply with drivers’ hours regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid C+E driving licence.
- Current CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Six points or less on licence for minor offences.
- Reliability, punctuality and care for the vehicle.
