Driver Hire Preston is seeking professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing assignments with a variety of transport and logistics clients throughout Preston and the surrounding Lancashire area. We have opportunities available for drivers looking for day shifts, night shifts, or tramping work with nights out. Main Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles in accordance with UK transport legislation.
- Carry out vehicle walkaround checks before and after each shift.
- Complete deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
- Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
- Maintain communication with the transport office and line manager.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is completed correctly.
- Report vehicle defects, delays, incidents, or compliance concerns promptly.
- Comply with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and Tachograph regulations.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- Current Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of driver compliance and road transport regulations.
- Professional and customer-focused attitude.
- Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to work.

- 1 Year Class 1 driving experience.
