Overview
HGV Drivers Class 1 – £14-£18 per hour (days). Start times 6-7am. Location: Preston. Start Date: Immediate or ASAP. Full time and part time shifts available. We are looking for 7 Class 1 HGV drivers to start immediately for our clients based in Preston and 5 Class 1 Drivers for our clients based in Leyland.
Responsibilities
- Trunking from depot to depot, some pickups and collections, and the delivery of goods to commercial warehouses.
- Daily walk round and vehicle checks. Reporting existing damage and defects.
- Correct use of tachograph and drivers hours.
Qualifications
- Have a C+E driving license.
- Have a CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Have less than 8 points on your licence.
- Be keen to look after your vehicle.
The successful driver can expect
- Monday-Friday: £14.00-£18.00 PAYE per hour. Weekend enhancements available.
- Weekly pay, paid on time every time.
- 8 hour minimum guaranteed pay per day.
- Subsidised inexpensive ongoing online CPC training.
