We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our customer, a well-established glass company based in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a professional Class 2 driver looking to join a stable and reputable business, delivering glass products safely and efficiently to customers across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Experience handling and delivering glass, fragile goods or specialist products would be advantageous
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Physically fit, as manual handling will be involved
- Reliable, professional and responsible approach to work
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load, transport and deliver glass products to customers
- Ensure all products are secured correctly for transportation
- Take care when loading, unloading and handling fragile goods
- Complete vehicle checks and report any defects
- Deliver goods safely and on time across Portsmouth and surrounding areas
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery
- Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and documentation
- Follow all company procedures and health and safety regulations
Benefits:
- Salary up to £33,176 per annum
