We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join a well-established builders merchant based in Portsmouth.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, delivering building materials to customers across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Experience delivering building materials, builders merchant products or similar would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of Portsmouth and surrounding areas
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physically fit, as some manual handling will be involved
- A professional and reliable approach to work
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport and deliver building materials to customers
- Carry out deliveries to building sites, trade customers and private customers
- Assist with loading and unloading goods where required
- Complete vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is operated safely at all times
- Provide excellent customer service when making deliveries
- Follow all relevant company and road safety procedures
- Work efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times
