We are currently looking to hire class 1 & 2 HGV multidrop drivers (Cat C, Cat C+E) for a client based within the Launceston area, delivering palletised goods around Devon and Cornwall. If you’re interested, please read more!
About the job:
- The hours vary depending on your route, starting at 07:30 until the job is finished. Shifts can last 9 or 10 hours.
- Pay for class 2 drivers is £17.37 per hour, with overtime at £21.79 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay via advanced payroll).
- Pay for class 1 drivers is £18.49 per hour, with overtime at £23.12 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay via advanced payroll).
- Overtime is paid after an 8-hour shift.
- This is temporary ongoing, full-time work, with potential for permanent positions for suitable candidates.
- PAYE. Weekly pay.
Job requirements:
- A valid Category C or C+E licence, in-date CPC, and digi cards are required.
- No more than 6 points, and no DR, DD, or IN convictions for insurance purposes.
- The ability to lift and carry heavy items throughout the day, in addition to driving, is necessary due to the physical nature of the role.
- The advertised pay rates are via an advanced payroll method, inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay. We can accommodate a standard payroll method if preferred, allowing holiday accrual and separate payment.
