Overview

Position: Tanker HGV2

Location: Ivybridge

Driver Hire are currently looking to take on experienced HGV class 2 drivers with ADR (tanks) licences to work for one of our clients based in Ivybridge. Our customer is the leading supplier of gas in the UK and is looking for experienced, professional Cat C drivers to join their team on a long-term, ongoing basis over their winter period. This is an exciting company to work for, who provides a supportive and inclusive working environment. Permanent full-time positions could be available for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Full time position on a rota basis 42.5 hours per week (likely to work some weekends)
  • Shifts normally start around 6am
  • Delivering commercial gas cylinders
  • Training and PPE will be provided
  • Contract will likely run up until April / May next year
  • This will be a temporary position over the winter which could lead to permanent work for the right candidates

Pay and hours

  • Pay will be £16.24 P/H
  • Overtime rate of £24.95 P/H paid after 42.5 hours
  • PAYE - Internal payroll meaning we don\\\'t use umbrella firms

Job requirements

  • A full and valid Category C (Class 2) licence with an in-date CPC and Digi and ADR cards are required with no more than 6 points & no DR, DD or IN convictions for insurance purposes
  • Valid ADR (tanks) ticket is required
  • Previous HGV driving experience would be highly beneficial
  • The ability to lift and carry items throughout the day, as well as driving, is a requirement due to the physical nature of the job
