We have an amazing opportunity for an HGV Category C ADR Cylinder driver, who has previously worked as an HGV delivery driver. The role would be perfect for someone who is looking for a career change within the logistics industry.
This is a full-time temp to perm position, with an immediate start. While working through Driver Hire, the hourly pay rate is £16.10 per hour PAYE Adv.
Requirements- HGV Class 2 Licence
- Valid and up to date ADR licence
- Up to date and valid Digi Card & Driver Qualification Card
- Newly qualified HGV Cat C ADR drivers welcome to apply
Your job role as an HGV Class 2 ADR driver will be to ensure that customers are served in an efficient and professional manner. The role involves delivering gas oil and kerosene to domestic and commercial establishments, answering the telephone and completing documents through the company's systems. Multi drop deliveries of gas cylinders, manual handling of gas cylinders. Generally, 10 to 25 drops a day. Our client is looking for a motivated, engaged and committed driver who can take ownership of their areas, look after customers and become the regular, recognizable and friendly face of the company. You will ensure that their products are delivered safely and provide a reliable, friendly and helpful service to their customers. This role involves manual handling duties and can be heavy work.
As a key player in our delivery team, you'll provide an essential lifeline to customers who are often off-grid and rely on timely deliveries. You won't just be driving - you'll be making a real difference.
BenefitsThis opportunity will lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. As a temporary to permanent opportunity, you will initially join Driver Hire Oxford and be paid on a weekly basis. Upon successful completion of your temporary period, you would then transfer to our client as a permanent employee.
What our client can offer- Hours of work are: Monday - Friday 06:30am - 15:45pm. Saturdays included on rota as required (shared and confirmed upon start). Flexibility required based on demand.
- Pay rate: £16.10 per hour PAYE Adv (std rate), £24.15 per hour PAYE Adv (OT rate) - overtime paid after 42.5 hours worked
- 1 hour unpaid lunch break
