Job Summary: HGV Class 2 Concrete Mixer Driver required for busy Oxfordshire business; previous experience is a benefit. Working week will comprise Monday to Friday. Drivers must be reliable, professional and hardworking and have relevant HGV driving experience. The role will consist of delivering ready mixed concrete in the local areas; no overnight working required. Having RMC (ready mix concrete) experience would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given. Competitive pay and bonus available.

Duties:

  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues
  • Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment
  • Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers or depots on time, ensuring accurate paperwork and documentation
  • Maintain communication with the Distribution Department regarding delays, issues, or route changes
  • Ensure security of the load during transit
  • Complete delivery logs, timesheets, and any required digital entries accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of our client

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • A valid HGV Category C licence, a Digi Card and a current Driver CPC qualification
  • Proven experience as an HGV driver preferred, training can be offered
  • Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • A hard-working and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn
