Class 1 (C+E) Low Loader Driver – Temp to Perm – Newark Area
One of our long-standing family-run companies, are looking for experienced Class 1 (C+E) Low Loader Drivers to join their team.
This is a Temp to Perm opportunity.
The Role:
- Tramping work with regular nights out (£25 per night during Temp to Perm)
- 07:30am starts Monday to Friday
- Assignment rates start at £18 per hour with overtime paid daily.
- Occasional weekend work at enhanced overtime rates.
- Loading & securing plant and equipment.
- Vehicle checks and reporting.
- Training towards abnormal load legislation
Pay & Benefits (Once Permanent):
- Starting salary £39,000 (negotiable depending on experience & qualifications).
- 40-hour contract with regular overtime available.
- Time & a half paid after 8 hours (Mon-Fri & Sat until 2pm).
- Double time after 2pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday.
- Holidays: 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays (rising to 25 days + 8 BH after 10 years).
- Nights out paid at £36.20 per night (£26.20 HMRC + £10 top-up).
The Ideal Candidate:
- Load & Securer Card (CPCS or NPORS).
- Experience moving plant and/or abnormal loads.
- Low loader experience preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of securing heavy/wide loads.
- Minimum 12 months C+E experience (with at least 60 days in the last 6 months)
