The Role

Driver Hire Norwich are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Administrator to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our busy recruitment business. This is a varied position combining accounts administration, credit control, compliance, recruitment support and office administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of important business processes.

We’re a busy, social and lively office, and definitely not the sort of place where you’ll be sitting quietly in the corner! We work hard, but we have plenty of fun along the way, and there’s always a bit of banter (and usually a dog) around the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing credit control, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up overdue payments
  • Maintaining accurate financial, compliance and administrative records in line with internal procedures and external audit requirements
  • Liaising with external auditors when applicable, providing relevant information and documentation as required
  • Managing compliance administration, ensuring relevant documentation and records are kept up to date
  • Supporting the recruitment team with candidate and client administration, including regular communication with clients and candidates
  • General office administration and maintaining an organised filing system
  • Dealing with emails, telephone calls, and general queries
  • Assisting with reporting and other administrative tasks as required
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure processes are completed accurately and efficiently

About You

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day
  • Takes pride in accuracy and maintaining high standards
  • Confident dealing with numbers and financial information
  • Comfortable with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
  • Experienced in administration, accounts, or a similar office-based role
  • Comfortable speaking with clients and building professional relationships
  • Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems

Recruitment, Accounts, or Compliance experience would be advantageous, but we are also happy to consider candidates with strong transferable administrative experience.

What We Offer

  • £29,120 salary - Full Time
  • Full-time or part-time hours considered, a min of 20hrs per week
  • A social, lively, and genuinely fun office environment — we work hard, but we also enjoy ourselves!
  • A friendly and supportive team, with a dog included!
  • Free parking onsite
  • Company pension scheme
  • The opportunity to take ownership of an important role within the business, plus additional recruitment responsibilities as required
