The Role

Driver Hire Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft is recruiting a Class 1 HGV Driver for a temp to perm position specialising in live bird transportation. This role offers the opportunity to move into a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.

You’ll be responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient transportation of live birds while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and biosecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport live birds safely and in line with animal welfare regulations
  • Adhere to strict biosecurity procedures
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
  • Follow health & safety guidelines at all times
  • Maintain accurate driving hours and working time records

Requirements

  • Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Live Bird Transportation Certificate – preferred but training would be considered
  • Valid CPC & Digital Tacho Card
  • Minimum 12 months’ Class 1 experience preferred
  • Maximum 6 points (no CD, IN, DD or DR endorsements)
