Our client, a well-established and growing drinks distribution business, is looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver on a Temp to Perm basis to support their busy delivery operation in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver seeking stable, long-term employment with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
The Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of drinks products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other licensed trade customers across the region.
This is a physically demanding role involving multi-drop deliveries, manual handling, and regular customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
- Completing multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Delivering products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality customers.
- Loading and unloading stock using appropriate handling equipment.
- Ensuring deliveries are accurate and completed on time.
- Collecting kegs, casks, empties, and other returnable items.
- Maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.
- Completing delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery records.
- Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and Tachograph legislation.
- Supporting depot and warehouse operations when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience.
- Good understanding of Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic and a reliable approach.
- Ability to undertake manual handling and physical delivery work.
