Our client, a well-established and growing drinks distribution business, is looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver on a Temp to Perm basis to support their busy delivery operation in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver seeking stable, long-term employment with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of drinks products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other licensed trade customers across the region.

This is a physically demanding role involving multi-drop deliveries, manual handling, and regular customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
  • Completing multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Delivering products to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality customers.
  • Loading and unloading stock using appropriate handling equipment.
  • Ensuring deliveries are accurate and completed on time.
  • Collecting kegs, casks, empties, and other returnable items.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery records.
  • Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and Tachograph legislation.
  • Supporting depot and warehouse operations when required.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous Class 2 driving experience.
  • Good understanding of Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a reliable approach.
  • Ability to undertake manual handling and physical delivery work.

Desirable

  • Multi-drop delivery experience.
  • Drinks distribution experience.
