HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver Location: Northampton Salary: £17.00 per hour (PAYE) / £19.05 per hour (PAYE Advanced) Job Type: Temporary Ongoing Hours: Monday to Friday | 07:30am Starts Driver Hire Northampton & Kettering is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver on behalf of a leading supplier of construction and infrastructure materials based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 2 driver looking for ongoing weekday work with a well-established business that plays a key role in supporting major construction and transport projects across the UK. The Role As an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will be responsible for delivering building and construction materials to customers throughout the local area. The role involves regular multi-drop deliveries, operating a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB), and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently. You will carry out daily vehicle checks, ensure loads are secure and compliant, assist with loading and unloading, and provide a high level of customer service at each delivery point. Duties Include: * Completing daily vehicle safety and compliance checks * Ensuring loads are safe, secure and legally compliant * Carrying out local multi-drop deliveries * Operating HIAB equipment to load and unload materials * Returning to the branch for reloads throughout the day * Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation * Adhering to all health and safety procedures * Providing excellent customer service Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: * Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence * Valid HIAB (Lorry Mounted Crane) Qualification * Valid Driver CPC Card * Digital Tachograph Card * Minimum 12 months' Class 2 driving experience * No more than 6 penalty points * No major endorsements or driving offences Pay Rates * £17.00 per hour PAYE * £19.05 per hour PAYE Advanced Why Work With Driver Hire?
