HGV Class 2 Drivers Wanted – Northampton
Driver Hire Northampton & Kettering is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for a range of ongoing opportunities with established businesses across the Northampton area. We work with clients across a variety of sectors including Builders Merchants, General Haulage, Scaffolding, Manufacturing, and Metal Products, offering regular work and a variety of driving assignments to suit experienced Class 2 drivers.
The Role
Depending on the client and assignment, you could be involved in:
- Local or nationwide deliveries
- Driving curtain-sided or flatbed vehicles
- Delivering construction, manufacturing or industrial products
- Completing daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours and transport legislation
- Maintaining high standards of road safety and professionalism
- Minimal handball duties on most assignments
These roles offer a mix of work environments, helping you build experience while enjoying consistent, ongoing assignments.
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you must have:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months' Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No major endorsements or serious driving offences
- Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
- A professional and reliable attitude
