HGV Class 2 Driver (Plant Experience Essential)

Northampton | Temp to Perm | £15.00 per hour PAYE

Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with a background in transporting plant machinery? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Northampton for a reliable and professional driver to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

The Role

• Driving a Class 2 Flatbed Beaver Tail vehicle
• Delivering and collecting plant machinery to customers and sites
• Covering a local 50-mile radius of Northampton
• Ensuring loads are secured safely and transported in line with regulations
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 07:30am to 4:30pm
• No weekends
• Regular daytime work with local routes

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience transporting plant machinery
• Knowledge of load security and safe transportation practices
• A professional and customer-focused attitude

Pay & Benefits

• £15.00 per hour PAYE (£15.60ph when perm)
• 45 hours contracted per week, OT for any additional hours
• Holiday pay accrued separately
• Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate
• Stable Monday to Friday working pattern
• Local work with no nights out or weekend commitments
