Job title: HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver
Location: Northampton
Commutable from: Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby, Daventry, Market Harborough, Rugby
Type of role: Temp to Perm
Permanent salary: £37k pa + bonus
Rate of pay: £14.57ph basic; £21.86ph overtime after 45 hours
Days required & shift pattern: Monday – Friday. Overtime available on Saturdays (time and a half) and Bank Holidays (double time). Start time 5:00am; finish between 2:00pm and 5:00pm depending on route. Minimum 8-hour shifts; some longer days if busy.
The job
Driver Hire Northampton are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client in the Lodge Farm area of Northampton. The client has expanded rapidly and is building a team to support growth. This role will predominantly involve servicing a range of wheelie bins and FELs in one of their dustcart vehicles across Northamptonshire.
The candidate will have proven driving experience, preferably with dustcart duties; further training will be provided. A good standard of English (verbal and written) is required. They are a service-driven business and flexibility is a key aspect of delivering excellent customer service.
Skills / qualifications
- Valid C licence (Class 2)
- Valid Tachograph & CPC
- No more than 6 Points or Major Offences
- Minimum of 12 months Class 2 driving experience
- Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures
