The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
One of our clients in Durham is recruiting for 2× Class 1 drivers on a temp‑to‑perm basis, starting at the beginning of February. You will work Monday‑Friday. Shift starts from 13:00 to 04:00 (times will be confirmed with you). This is a 45‑hour per week role.
Your day‑to‑day role will include:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Ensuring correct documentation
- Following and instructing others in standard operating procedures
- Working methodically and logically
- Ensuring compliance with contractual targets
- Moving and sorting freight in the warehouse as instructed
- Working at pace
- Understanding written English (numbers and words)
- Undertaking delivery, collections and/or trunking as instructed
- Adhering strictly to Transport Law
Fully ADR qualified (preferable) – training will be provided for the right candidate.
Rate of Pay: £16.00 basic (PAYE), enhanced rate for any overtime.
Ideal Candidate:
- Valid Cat C+E / Class 1 entitlement on their licence
- Valid digital tachograph
- Valid CPC card
