Driver Hire Newcastle & Sunderland are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative for an immediate start to cover our largest clients' peak requirements in the run up to Christmas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for full-time hours and consistent work in the run up to the festive period.
The successful candidates will play a vital part in ensuring the operation runs like clockwork. They will assist with the unloading of retail stock and click & collect parcels from HGV vehicles arriving at the distribution centre on a daily basis. Stock will then need to be allocated to the correct locations within the warehouse to ensure a fluid picking process, in preparation for them being delivered to a nationally recognised retailer in the area.
Warehouse experience would be advantageous but not essential. A typical working week will consist of working any 5 days out of 6 between Sunday to Friday, with the flexibility to work 6 days a week to meet the needs of the business. Shift times start at 00:00 and finish at 08:30.
- Rates of pay vary depending on the day and time:
- Any hours worked on a Sunday will be paid at £20.00 per hour.
- The night rate, which is paid between the hours of 6pm and 6am, is £14.00 per hour.
- The day rate, paid between 6am and 6pm, is £12.21 per hour.
