We are seeking an experienced Remote Hiab Driver to join our team in Leicester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Hiab crane (remote-controlled) to load and unload materials, making timely deliveries to multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a remote-controlled Hiab crane to load and unload goods for delivery.
- Complete 5-10 deliveries per day, ensuring goods are securely transported.
- Navigate the route efficiently, ensuring all deliveries are made on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards on the vehicle.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensuring the Hiab crane and vehicle are in good working condition.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding any delays or changes in the schedule.
Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 25.
- Valid UK driving license, held for a minimum of 5 years.
- Experience operating a remote-controlled Hiab crane (essential).
- Maximum of 3 penalty points on your driving license (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic laws, and delivery procedures.
- Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks and maintain equipment.
- Good physical fitness, with the ability to assist with manual handling as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- 5-10 drops per day.
- Full-time, permanent role.
