Driver Hire Bournemouth & Salisbury is recruiting an experienced HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver for a long-term temporary position with one of our valued clients in Yeovil. Location: Yeovil

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Start Time: 04:00 AM

Pay Rates (PAYE Advanced Holiday Pay):

  • £14.57 per hour – Basic Rate
  • £16.81 per hour – Nights & Saturdays
  • £18.49 per hour – Sundays & Bank Holidays

The Role

As an HGV 7.5T Driver, you will be responsible for servicing and emptying portable toilet units across customer sites while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards. Your duties will include:

  • Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and professionally
  • Manual handling of up to 20kg bagged products
  • Completing daily vehicle safety checks
  • Keeping accurate delivery and service records
  • Following all road transport legislation and company procedures
  • Communicating effectively with customers and the transport team

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you must have:

  • A valid UK HGV 7.5T (Category C1) licence
  • A digital tachograph card
  • At least 6 months of recent commercial driving experience
  • No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN endorsements)
  • Your own transport to travel to and from the depot

Weekly PAYE pay, minimum 8 hours paid per shift, free CPC training, potential temp-to-perm opportunities, and ongoing support from a dedicated local Driver Hire team.
