Driver Hire Carlisle is currently recruiting for multiple HGV Drivers for long term ongoing work with our well-known and established client in the following areas: Workington and Whitehaven. This is a great opportunity for a HGV driver looking for steady, reliable work with a possibility of Temp-perm.

The role involves operating a HGV Class 2 rear-wheel-drive bin wagon collecting waste bins around residential, commercial and industrial estates, so a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and compliance is essential. All sites have a first day induction of ½ day office/paperwork based then half day in the vehicle, and for those with minimal/no experience this will include a driving assessment.

WHITEHAVEN - 07:15am starts
The Role for a HGV Driver:
- Saturday overtime available
- Overtime paid after 39 hours
- Completing local and regional collections as required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Immediate starts
- Representing both the client and Driver Hire Carlisle professionally
What You’ll Need:
- Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement
- New Passes accepted
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong understanding of site safety and procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
