Full-time permanent position covering South Devon and surrounding areas. We are recruiting experienced window and door fitters to join a growing installation team working on high-quality new-build housing developments. This is a hands-on role installing a wide range of windows and doors across multiple residential sites. We welcome applications from individual fitters and established fitting pairs who already work together.
Location: Projects located across Torbay, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Totnes, Kingsbridge and surrounding areas. All sites are within approximately two hours of the depot. No overnight stays required.
Pay: £17.20 per hour PAYE. Other PAYE models available.
Key Responsibilities:- Install windows and doors on new-build residential developments.
- Fit and finish installations to a high standard, ensuring correct alignment, sealing and operation.
- Take accurate measurements and carry out adjustments where required.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with your fitting partner and other trades on site.
- Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas.
- Complete installation records and report any issues or defects promptly.
- Previous experience fitting windows and doors within residential or construction environments.
- Experience installing casement windows, vertical sliding windows, bi-fold doors, sliding patio doors, French doors, sidelights and composite entrance doors.
- Background in glazing, fenestration installation, carpentry, joinery or a similar trade.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person installation team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NVQ in Fenestration Installation or a related qualification.
- Local work across South Devon, all sites within a two-hour radius of the depot.
