We are recruiting

HGV Class 2 drivers for ongoing weekend work based in Newton Abbot, South Devon.

This is an ideal opportunity for Category C drivers looking for additional weekend income or flexible HGV driving work alongside other commitments.

You’ll be completing deliveries across South Devon, working with an established distribution operation. Regular weekend opportunities are available for reliable drivers.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this HGV Class 2 driver role, you will need the following:
  • Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good understanding of drivers’ hours and safe driving practices
  • Reliable and professional approach
  • Availability for weekend shifts
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules

Previous HGV Class 2 delivery experience and knowledge of South Devon routes would be advantageous.

The Role

Your duties will include

  • Driving a Category C HGV Class 2 vehicle
  • Completing deliveries throughout South Devon
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
  • Following drivers’ hours, transport legislation and health and safety procedures
  • Reporting delays or delivery issues promptly
  • Completing deliveries accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude while representing the client
  • Pay and Hours
  • £23.81 per hour PAYE Advanced, with other PAYE models available
  • Weekly pay every Friday
  • Ongoing ad hoc work
  • Minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift
  • Typical shifts of 8 to 10 hours
  • Early morning starts

Delivery routes cover locations throughout South Devon.
