Driver Hire Yeovil & Shepton Mallet is looking for an experienced PSV Coach Driver to provide flexible, ad-hoc cover for a well-established local client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for occasional part-time hours. It may be particularly suitable for someone who is semi-retired and would like to continue working on a flexible basis.

The Role

You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on organised bus tours. The role is focused on safe and professional driving. You will need to be confident operating a coach in a busy environment while ensuring passengers receive a smooth, comfortable and enjoyable journey. Shifts will normally begin at 9:30am, with finish times varying depending on operational requirements. Work will primarily be available to cover holidays, sickness and periods of increased demand.

What We Are Looking For

  • Hold the appropriate PSV entitlement
  • Have previous coach or passenger transport experience
  • Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Be confident driving in busy surroundings
  • Be calm, patient and safety-conscious

  • Have some flexibility around finish times

As this is a customer-facing role, the successful driver may be invited to meet the client before completing their first shift. This is simply to make sure the position is the right fit for everyone.
